Learned many words and felt deep after watching the Book Thief (Spoiler Alert!)

It’s started with a voice of a male narrator and an image from the skydown to the train. He’s saying that one thing is true – we’ll all die. Is this a Horror movie? I knew that the narrator must be the “death”, because when he said “she caught me” it was when the girl (Liesel) caught her brother bleeding and was dead. The scene was old style and it looks like it was part of the history. Then I was right, it was the time when Hitler was still in power and war is all over the world. Fair enough that “death” was active in that time. lol. Liesel is the main character. She also has a German name, but I don’t know the spelling of her German name, we’ll stick with Liesel. She’s very pretty, portrayed by Sophie Nelisse, I really love her hair and her face. Liesel and her brother were on a trip to their foster family because of the War. But her brother died in the trip and so Liesel was left alone to meet her new family. Her foster mama is Rosa who is like a thunderstorm but has a very big heart. Her papa is Hans who plays accordion and has a very jolly personality. He calls Liesel “Your Majesty” They are poor and had not enough food. Then a jew, named Max is a fugitive who came to their house for help. It seems like those were the times that government is not allowing people to read and write books that was why Liesel was a Book Thief because when she learned how to read books, she loved it and later on stole books just to read. It was an act of braveness to read a book. Max was just like Liesel, he loves reading and gave Liesel his own book which he painted so that Liesel can write her own book. When Liesel wrote her book and fell sleep on the basement. It was the time when the narrator came back again and said that he went to Rudy’s house, kiss his mom, heard Rosa’s snore and heard Hans last thought “Liesel”. Then by morning, everything was a disaster and Liesel was the only one alive. Everyone that the narrator said were dead and because Liesel was left on the basement, she was alive. OK. I wasn’t really that good at story telling. But I hope you watch the movie. I’m just curious did Max and Liesel got married? By the way, Max is older than Liesel, maybe that’s the reason why death said that they were almost died at the same...

Flappy Bird Aaaarrggggh

Flappy Bird Aaaarrggggh

OK, this new game Flappy Bird has come out of pretty much nowhere to be the top game on both Apple and Google Play. It is an incredibly annoying game. And by annoying I mean like throw your phone at the wall and break it annoying. It is the most ridiculously hard game I have played. I like that it is very simple but boy is it hard. My high score is only 6 and it took me at least 100 tries to get that high. One of my friends got as high as 20 and I can’t imagine how. I went looking for some good Flappy Bird cheats but didn’t find very many. You just have to get the rhythm down and keep playing. Over and over...

Hamster Love

Hamster Love

So we got a new member of the family: a pet hamster! If you have never before had a pet, hamsters are a great place to start. Small, cute and fury what’s not to love! They live from 1-3 years and are very friendly if they are treated properly and handled regularly. If you are thinking about buying a pet hamster here are a few tips in regards to looking after and caring for your new fury friend! Housing First of all you will need to buy a house for your hamster to live in, there a numerous cages out there and it really depends on the breed of hamster as to which one you choose. Obviously the bigger the hamster the bigger the cage should be! You will need to make sure it has plenty of space to run around, preferably with an exercise wheel. You can buy cages that come with detachable water bottles and food bowls. If the cage doesn’t have a separate ‘bed’ area you might want to consider buying one or making a nest for it to sleep in as hamsters like to keep cosy! Personally I would recommend the tank like cages as some hamsters find fun in climbing up the walls of wire cages, which can be both noisy and possibly dangerous for your new pet! Hamsters are fairly territorial especially as adults so should always be housed alone with no roomies! Feeding There are numerous dry hamsters foods that you can pick up easily in pet shops. You can also buy treats like fruit drops for them. This isn’t always necessary as you can feed your hamster treats from your own fridge such as grapes, cucumber, sweetcorn and peas. If they start storing food in their cheek pouches don’t freak out or think you’ve killed it (like I did with my neighbours hamster when I was 10), this is completely normal and they are just saving it for later! Hamsters teeth can easily overgrow causing health problems, to prevent this make sure your hamster has always got something to gnaw on. You can purchase chews that attach to the cage alternatively a hard dog biscuit will do! Illnesses Although hamsters are quite tough little creatures they can get ill, and if treatment is not given early on it might mean they have to be put down. Wet tail is a disease that causes diarrhoea and a wet rear end this is very severe and you should take your hamster to the vet as soon as possible. Tyzzer’s disease is carried by wild mice, so you should avoid housing your pet anywhere that could be contaminated by mice. All in all hamsters are fairly simple to care for and sweet to look at. Hopefully this guide has given you some ideas about what to expect and how to look after your new pet hamster! Take care of it and make sure it doesn’t escape or you’ll have a nightmare trying to find and catch it! Here’s some more hamster...

Waiting for Pottermore

Like most people on Planet Earth, I’ve read and re-read all the Harry Potter books. And I’ve watched all the Harry Potter movies–some of them more times than I’d really like to admit. But at least they’re fun to watch! So I’m really looking forward to Pottermore, which is the web site from J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter. It promises to be an interactive game and reading site where you can take part in and adventure through the world of Harry Potter. I’ve even been reading some of the Pottermore cheats and walkthroughs posted online. The beta has been going on for many months and the game is supposed to launch this month. They said “early April” but that has come and gone. Hopefully it will be...
