Playing Angry Birds Epic
My latest obsession is Angry Birds Epic from Rovio. It’s a turn-based RPG instead of a physics-based puzzle game, which is a huge departure for the Angry Birds franchise. It’s also free-to-play, which means lots of In-App Purchases (IAP), which has a lot of Angry Birds fans upset. But I think you can easily play through most, if not all, of the game without spending any money at all. So overall, I think it’s a great deal!
In Angry Birds Epic, you start out as Red. Several pigs including Prince Porky and WizPig, have stolen 5 of your bird eggs and they also kidnap the yellow bird, Chuck. It’s up to you to rescue your friends, who join your party as your adventure continues. There are well over one hundred stages to play through and lots of content to keep you playing the game for a very long time.
Another thing I love–no energy bar! A depleting energy bar system is a major annoyance for most free-to-play games. Angry Birds Epic does away with it completely, meaning you can play for as long as you like.
